About me

Who am I?

Hi, I'm Lennart — a political science student from Berlin with a passion for diverse cultures, international affairs, philosophy, and deep storytelling.

In today’s media landscape, it often feels like we’re drowning in headlines but starving for understanding. To me it seems like we've been struggling to find a way to reduce the disadvantages of new media technologies. It has become a business in political journalism to exploit fears and instincts of people by producing polarising headlines. I've found myself scrolling through endless amounts of headlines, without ever really understanding the roots of problems, developments and what can be done about them. What I was missing was a type of journalism that slows things down, digs deeper, and helps us make sense of the world.

This development produces a huge negative impact: Our attention span is limited. In the fast-paced world of politics and media,we loose sight of what really matters, if we don't carefully select what information we take in. Sensational headlines dominate our feeds, grabbing attention and making us focus on culture wars instead of standing together as humans to fight for measures to reduce human suffering. As a young journalist just starting out, I want to combat this trend. Instead of fueling polarization or chasing clicks, I believe journalism should help us better understand the world — and each other.

I am commited to constructive journalism: solution-orientated articles, asking deeper questions, exploring global issues with empathy, and taking the time to understand local contexts. Therefore, in my articles, I aim to highlight what truly shapes our world, and what can actually reduce suffering.

In addition to this, I frequently interview experts on all sorts of topics in german.

I believe there are many people out there that care about the peacefull coexistance of humans, seeing every human as equal, regardless of origin. Informing yourself accordingly is essential — and I’m glad you’re here to be part of that journey.
